Our boats will accommodate 10/12 persons and all feature a cabin with galley and toilet compartment. In the galley there is a sink with running water, a four-ring gas hob, crockery, cutlery, teapot, saucepan and washing up materials. Forward of the cabin is a covered open air deck which can be enclosed by side screens. These boats are designed to be easy to operate even for the complete novice. They are relatively short in narrow boat terms (approx 30ft) and are simply steered by tiller from the stern. They are powered by quiet modern diesel engines with a forward and reverse gearbox operated by one easy to use lever and we include all the fuel, gas and drinking water that you will need.
Little Grebe is 32 feet long, comes with a large rear steering deck and a large enclosed seating area. She is equipped with a toilet and kitchen, and is suitable for groups of 10-12 people. Due to the enclosed space, she is popular with families with young children.
Dabchick is our smallest boat, at 30 feet long, but comes with an open front area with fold-out chairs. She is equipped with a toilet and kitchen, and can comfortably take groups of 8-10, though she is licenced for 12.
Lady Jane is our newest boat, and at 35 feet she is also our longest. She combines the best of both Dabchick and Little Grebe, in her open front area, large interior, and large steering deck. She, too, is equipped with a toilet and kitchen, and can easily hold the full 12 people.
